a lil weight reduction

Hey guys I have the bumper cover off of my Z. I was thinking of doing a file 13 on the absorber and a serious swiss cheese job on the actual bumper support(just so I can keep my fogs). Have any of you guys had any trouble with the bumper keeping it's form after removing the black plastic absorber?

Use a 1" hole-saw to drill about 1K holes between all the ribs in the supporter/absorber. Individually, it weighs about 7 lbs. I think I got mine down to 4 lbs and had a big pile of black plastic burrs.

I cut out the fog light mounts and the 1 bolt hole and remounted them. The rest of the buper when in the trash. Nothing a sawzal cant handle. I used a die grinder and cut it out but you could use anything to cut it out.
