Yeah you want to heat up drag radials or slicks, but regular street radials just need a quick spin to clean them. If you heat them up too much they'll get greasy and your traction will actually be worse.

Very true it depends on the tire entirely (get it). True you only need to clean them off a little but i usually found it helped to atleast get them a little hotter. I mean it cant hurt really. I know they dont really get much stickier but in my eyes it cant hurt at all.

Hmm i dont know about them getting greasy... But hey regardless of hot or not my car will not launch on street tires. So maybe im just lost because it doesnt matter what i do on street tires.
