Ladder bar conversion, keeping interior

To start off, my brother welds, and we are usually pretty good at fabbing things up.
So on that note, our idea would be to create a ladder bar suspension, possibly using the LCA front bracket, or altering it slightly to make the pivot point slightly further up on the car. I want to keep my rear seats, but If needed some notching can be done.
So my questions would be,
Has anyone done this before?
Are there any problems you guys see by converting, or by placing the pivot point in the LCA bracket area?
Any ideas that might help our fabrication out?
I am going to be taking a bunch of pictures of the underside of the car as soon as its nice out, and hopefully will have a CAD drawing available for thoughts and pre fabrication troubleshooting.

This should probably be posted in "Drag Racing" where it would be more likely to be seen by people who might have tried it....

Moving there.....
