the S&W requires a lot of triming. good thing is you can make it fit around you and your seat. they take some work though

Since its all cut and weld, I'd suggest you get a copy of the NHRA (or IHRA) specs for roll bars. They are very specific on location of various components relative to the seat and driver, how they attach to the floor, etc.

The only bent pipe in the kit is the main hoop. You will need a way to cut, notch and bend the other pipes. I will also assume that you have access to a mig or tig welder. I did all my notching with a grinder and it took a very long time. If you have the money get a tube notcher. It will be a big help.

I had one a few years back in my green car. I just put a comp engineering bar in the car this past weekend and it was basically identical to the S&W bar. Everything that was said in this thread is true...hence the price of the bar compared to one from Wolfe or the likes that is basically already pre-cut for a 4th gen. The tubing notcher will save you hours, and I do mean HOURS of work so even if this is your first install its worth it. Just take your time and you'll be pleased with the results.

My S&W roll bar for my 3rd gen came pre-notched except for one end of the bar which runs behind the seat. If anything needs to be shortened, you cut the end that's not notched. Did S&W quit notching their tubing or something? I bought it 4 years ago.
