Question Insight on my time slip plz?!

Well went to the track Friday night I was pretty pissed at myself. First off there was over 200 cars/bikes there so from 7pm to 11pm I only was able to do 3 runs. Second it was my first time ever at the track and I choked, my first two runs I missed 4th gear (I never do that), I think I may have bent a shift fork. Anyways, my last run I wanted to make sure I got it in gear so I grannyed it to 4th and 5th gear. The weather was about 55 degrees, about 30mph head wind, and 50% humidity. I also wheel hopped really bad through 1st and 2nd on this run only for some reason? I have relocation brackets and tubular LCA w/ poly bushings, and Nitto 555r's. What can I do to stop the wheel hop? Here's my time slip, what do you guys think my problem is? I know my car should be low 12's. Is it the granny shifting in 4th & 5th that hurt it that much ( I think I go into 4th around the 1/8)? 3415lbs w/ me.

Man all you need is some practice. You need to go to a non busy track and run 30 passes to get your ducks all in a row.

Practice makes perfect. Something cheap that will help with the wheel hop some is a new torque arm bushing. I think Summit sells the energy suspension ones for $12. It will help, but practice will help much more.

Did you heat up the tires before you ran? With the DR's, it may help to warm them up a bit?

It's hard in front of a "crowd" like that though ... esp your first time at the track, and it's not like you're running a ~16-second Honda!! 12.7 is still pretty respectable . Practice, practice, practice doing HARD launches, trying to control wheel spin / hop, and shifting under full throttle. You can do better .

Yea, I did pretty good 2nd gear burnouts. I know I can get quite a bit better. With 4.10's I should be trapping in 4th gear and that will help a lot!

To the guy about the panhard bar, I have a tubular adjustable panhard, LCAs, and Relo brackets. Since I went to the track weve taken off the torque arm, cut a slot in it, bent it, welded it back and reinforced it with a steel plate, I now have a little bit of - pinion angle. It's seemed to help the wheel hop on the street. I'll see next time I hit the track...
