How old

How old do you usually have to be to be able to race at a track, because some of my friends and i want to drive down to our local track (KCIR) to make a few passes but were not sure how old you have to be. So please let me know thanks.

1/4 mile or auto-X??

I can't speak for auto-X, but I know that up here, I've been drag racing since I was 17 (at a track that's either NHRA or IHRA sanctioned ).

Until you start racing at a certain level (I think it's sub - 10's ) all you need is a valid driver's license and a car that's fit-for-duty!

1/4

yeah i was talking about 1/4 runs. The local track here is NHRA sanctioned. So if my car doesnt run in the 10's all i need is a valid driver licence. BTW i am 16 (valid DL) so hopefully i can make a few passes but ill give em a call to make sure. Thanks for the help.
