how do i stack up against a.....

....'73 'Cuda with a 340. I work at the small service station in our town and my co-worker has one and this is what he has done to it. 'Slightly' ported heads, shaved .010, the block is bored .020, Hooker headers, Edelbrock aluminum intake, and the engine is balanced up to 8000 rpm's, but he rarely gets it up to 7k. He said he would race me, and more than likely from a roll, cuz hes clutch is starting to slip. We are both on street tires, both are manuals, and mine is stock except for the flo-pro cat-back exhaust. Will it be close??? what are your opinions??

If he has street tires and so do you bet it will be fairly close.I would think he would have around 300 hp and so do you.He could maybe get more like 400 engine hp with the right cam and some really good heads and then should waste you pretty easily.
