Velocity Stack

Anybody tried a velocity stack for their throttle body? There's a claim of around 5 to 7 rwhp when used!

I wouldn't waste your money if I were you. Save a few extra dollars for a ported throttle body if you want to modify it...or you could just take a dremel and do it yourself.

Car to explain this "Velocity Stack" ? Where it goes, what the theory is behind it, etc. etc.

A piece that slides in the throttle body.
Eliminates the need for a ported throttle-body by smoothing and reshaping the throttle-body entrance to increase the incoming air velocity at each given RPM.
Sounds believable but $50 for the little thing.

Wouldn't that make the throttle bore smaller? Which is better than a ported throttle body....

i beleive it ends before the narrowest part of the TB ...otherwise it would interfer with the blade.

it is more for smoothing out flow over the port holes that are inside the TB...

kindda like when they fill it in with epoxy on most perfessionally ported TBs
