how bad is it to run radial front / bias rear tires ?

i hear its a bad mix to run radial front with bias rear tires .. it makes for an "unstable" combo ?! why i dont know

im running 28x10.5x15 ET drags out back with cheapo 165 60 15s up front ..

is that unsafe by any means ?! i've already crashed my car once going down te track .. dont wanna repeate myself

not a big deal on the track...just a little scary on the street because the car is so loose in the back and tight in the front.

Hopefully you won't be cornering too much at the track...

Technically it is illegal in some states to mix bias and raidal tires on a street car but in my experience most inspection mechanics do not even think to look for it.

I have never found it to be an issue as my car handles so poorly anyway that even thinking about cornering requires me to be going slow.

i normally run 165 radials on the street with my slicks, and goodyear front runners at the track. i have been 9s @ 135+ on a radial front/slick combo lately though and it handles just fine going down the track
