Heres all my time slips from last night: 60 Foot first then E.T.
1.829....12.941
1.769....12.989
1.857....13.043
1.876....13.052
1.924....13.123
1.971....13.183
2.048....13.283
2.158....13.440
2.311....13.712
2.375....13.833
You can really see what it means to get a nice 60 foot time. I thought the track was not in the best shape for hooking up.

Those are some good times man. Yea the first 60 ft is half the fight in getting good times. On the bfg 275/60/15s I have(non dr), the best 60fts I get are in the 2.3 range. It is hard to get a good 60ft time with a 4.10 gear. Good luck man.
Congrats on making the 12's!!!
. I only have three track passes, but it's easy to see that when my 60' times match up with yours that the ET's match up, too (see sig). Guess we have got real similar cars - - you know how much variance there can be, not just in the cars themselves, but in track conditions, atmospherics, etc.
Post your mods in your sig. Maybe we can benchmark off each other. I haven't been to the track since the TBB mod or a brand new set of KDW's went on. Was looking forward to running tonight, but we have an all-weekend event, so it will be next Friday night.
Next on my list: Manual cooling fan control. Have an adjustable temp-sensitive switch ready to install, but waiting to see if a sweet deal on a HPP3 comes along this week before I decide to install it. Also, the bump stop mod. Just wish I had a dyno around here to check mod effectiveness more easily...
If you are running an A4, what is your launch technique that yields the best 60' times? In my very limited experience, the best results (on bald F1's) was to stay out of the water, wipe them off, and line up in the last guys marks. Then 1500 on the tach to leave. Couldn't mash a WOT launch, but didn't really baby it off the line either.

Little bit different than mine. I have an LT1 and yours is a LS1.
I do have an A4 but I have a 2800 stall in it. I bring it up to about 1400-1600 otherwise my brakes start to let go and mash it on the light. Thats the only technique I have used. Now that I have my car in the 12's im going to start to do suspension mods. And practice, practice, practice!

those are some nice times! i am also wondering what suspension to go with. thinking of mabey blistens & KYG shocks and springs, subframes, LCA's, and panhard. man, i would kill for a 1.8 60' time. DAMN 6 speed! lol
Those are nice times. I, myself am looking for my first 12 second timeslip. The best I've run so far is 13.03 @ 106 with a 1.904 60'. This with just 3.73 gears, Hooker Longtubes, drag radials, and a cutout. I can't wait to see what a nice torque converter will do! What kind of tires were you running?
JustaLT1 that is a nice MPH you got there for a bolt-on car
Man just get a torque converter and drag radials and you will be flying.
I wish my car would pull that kind of time before the converter.
Mine also has 154,000 miles on it (likely needs to be freshened up a bit)

I run at River City Race way in San Antonio. I could have easily ran about 10 more times. I let it cool down 2 times for a 1/2 hour a piece. Plus I was not even hot laping. Also after the contest I could have gone another 2-3 times more for test and tune. This is on a Wednesday. On Friday I can just about get as many runs in as well.
Here is a link to a web page I put up about my car: geocities/ucrazymonkey/97_TA.html
I already run with a 10" Street Fighter stall that flashes around 2800-3000 RPM as well as running Nitto 555R's in the rear.
Im pretty sure I can get about another .4 E.T. ouf it yet. But its going to start to cost a bunch of money to start knocking those times off. Im going to give it a shot and see how things go. But suspension is one of my main concerns right now as well as a set od Weld Drag Lights.
Thanks for all the praise. I really enjoyed putting this LT1 in the 12's with bolt-ons. Only took a total of 5 months after purchase to get it there.
Who knows maybe I will throw a set of heads im porting and a cam and get it in the high 11's for the big shoot out here during spring break with the LT1's and the LS1's.

congrates bro.. last week i went to the strip for the first time and on motor i did 12.9 @ 106, but my 60' was like 1.9x *and i had et streets*, i then tried my 150 shot *well.. 3 runs after testing using nitrous for the first time i then tried for real*.. and i did a 12.3 @ 126 mph. i had a 1.6x 60' but i had really horrid wheel spin the whole way down. come to find out my tire pressure was at like 24 psi *friend checked tire before i went out, but forgot to tell me to lower the psi *damn him* so hopefully after some more practice on launching and finding the right tire pressure/reducing that wheel spin ill be n the low 11's like i wanted.. but isnt 126 eta 10's?
