Help me hit 12.7's with bolton's
I would like to get the car to run 12.7's@108 before I put a cam in the car, so help me get there . Right now my best is 13.17@105.4 with RW of 3600lbs. I would also like to do this with stock gears. Here are my plans...
!floormats 5lbs
!airpump 6lbs
!swaybar 10lbs
!passenger seat 35lbs
run less gas 20lbs
possibly run skinnies 30-40lbs
pull air filter (5hp gain on dyno)
Port ws6 baffles (supposedly restrictive at slow speeds)
Better launch
Any other ideas that won't cost me much?

Take the car to a sea level track next spring, put on a good set of tires on light rims and watch it pick up .3 instantly. Calculate the cost of a round-trip to Bakersfield, Sacramento, Houston, or Sonoma.

Wait on the cool air to roll in.
Take out as much weight as you can stand.
Get those skinnies on there.
It is going to be harder with 3.42s b/c you are not trapping where you need the revs. We zing mine to 6400 on the top end of the 1/4, it feels good and picked up 2 tenths (over 4.10s) when we correct the passes back to sea level. That "eliminates" the weather factor in our comparisons.

Re: Help me hit 12.7's with bolton's
I need 4.10's bad, but I am sure they will break with regular abuse and don't want to waste 300 bucks. These gears hurt my launch and I am hitting 4th right before the finish line. I have my limiter at 6200 and the fastest I could go while on the limiter was 105.00 in third. The DA was probably about 1500 last time I was at the track. Hopefully it will get a little cooler and I could see some 500 DA. The track itself is 1300ft above sea level. Where can I find the best deal on skinnies?
