Head wind, how much can it hold you back?

Hey guys,

I went to a Atco on Friday night and there was some serious wind the news was saying 30 - 40 MPH but at the track it felt like ~20 MPH coming directly down the track.

My 60's were much better and more consistant then before in the 1.692 range but I was running 12.62's @ 108.2

I know there is more in the car and wondering how much the head wind could have been holding me back if at all...

The strong head-wind would only affect your 1/4 mile ET and trap MPH, but have very little impact on your 60ft times. Here in Oklahoma we often have strong winds at the track. And yes, the winds can knock two tenths or more off the ET. I would like to think our late model F-Bodys (which are very aerodynamic and low profile) are affected less by wind than a shoe-box type car.
