Exclamation H&C LT1= 10.8 on DRs

No stroke, no juice, no positive manifold pressure needed. Just the right combination of parts and a great friend named Joe Overton. I went to MIR yesterday for the EFA F body shootout. I competed and won the MOD LT1 heads up class. I had an awsome final against Chris Jones. He has one of the fastest LT1s anywhere and without a doubt, the best looking. It felt great to pull a 10.95 right off the trailor.
Here is the best run of the day
1.51 60 ft- The DRs just spun for a little and then hooked pretty good
6.90 1/8 at over 99mph
10.88 at 122.8

It appears that my tires are about the only thing holding me back. They reached their limit on my car with a 1.48 60ft. When the air cooled and I began spinning I could only manage a 1.50 to 1.51. I believe she'd hit at least a 1.44 or so with a slick. I am still very impressed with the MTs, hell of a DR. The second problem is the height. They are 28" tall and I was coming up short at the end, turning 7000 trying to make it through the end. That's quite alot higher than I want to turn when I am only shifting at 6400 rpm with the new cam.

I couldn't be happier right now. I'll have to throw a set of slicks on her in a couple of weeks and see what we can get. It has definately been worth the hard work. Thanks again Joe and congrats to Tim Jewel for dominating the Mod LS1 class as well with his Lethal EFI setup. Joe must be doing something right. He even had a mustang up there sounding pretty bad ***!

Awesome times Man!!! You and Tim really wiped up the competition. Especially since your closest competitor ran 11.3`s I beleive. hopefully I can go next time and bring in second w/ the new setup.

Re: H&C LT1= 10.8 on DRs

Thanks alot guys.

Joe has retired and has stopped working with LT1s

Mike, you gotta watch out for Chris. He ripped off an 11.22 before he left and is mighty mean on a tree. You should have seen our first run in qualifying, I forgot it was a pro tree

Chris, it was a blast. You have been spanking *** since I started doing bolt ons. How did the mod LT1 points turn out?

Is this on stock ported castings? That is just too damn impressive.

Sweet!! I just got off the phone with Joe to congradulate him on another win for one of his customers. I also won my season long track pts championship with one of his cams and plan on upgrading this winter to another one of his cams and maybe a gen 7 dfi. Again sweet times and congrads on the win.
