Guys with Hossier QTP's?

How many passes are you getting from them before they start to give up the ghost? Also, mine have no groves left at all after 100 passes and still seem to hook well, but I do plan to replace them with a new set for next year.

rje what size tires are you running. I have the 27x11.5x15's but don't have enough runs to have that info yet. I have 22 runs with a 1.55 average so far. I believe thay are a bit large for my combo but i'll give up a little et for consistency. Frank95z

Frank, I'm also running the 27x11.50x15's and love them. They are so much better than the ET street as far as traction, but don't last as long, but I'll give up long life for better traction any day.

rje, do you have any 60' comparisons between the two? I have been trying ET streets (28x12.50s) and am putting on 28x14.50s this Thursday.

My 60's with the ETs usually are about 1.65 or so and its killing me! I finish the run like clockwork at a 10.70 @131.X but am getting ready to use nitrous and want a better start off... I would consider slicks but this is a street car that I drive to the track and home again.

its been my experience that the QTP's are better. i picked up a little 60' but the thing i like is the QTP's are more consistent.....the Mickey's sidewalls are just too soft! IMO

You can get them from Jeg's or Summit.

Hey Greg, good to hear from you. The last time I think I saw you was Atlanta 01 NMCA world finals. Ya, I ran maple grove in PRO and tried to run Atlanta, but the rain had other ideas. I may run some open comp again next year but I'm not for sure. See I don't run a T-brake in my car so I'll be at a disadvantage, but that's never stopped me before. Maybe we'll get chance to race together soon. Take care.

So what kind of air pressures do yall run. I have the 27" QTP's also, got many runs on them, I like em. Best 60 ft is 1.54, but I was playin with tire pressures and mine seem to like about 14 pounds. Just comparing.

Cool thanks! I was contemplating trying to massage some 28x12.5x15 ET Streets, but I figure just go with the sticker 28X11.5x15 QTP.

As for air psi, I've run anywhere from 14-16 with little change in 60ft. I also started using tubes with them and they seem to make them even more consistent.
