Getting closer! 10.17@133.6mph on radials!

Well I swapped my 8.8" hybrid rear in hopes for some better 60's off the T-brake but it didn't happen. All the car would do is spin off the brake so off the footbrake I ran 10.23@132mph with the 175hp jets in my NX nozzle then I decided to try 200HP and heres how it went with 15psi in the 325/50/15's ET street radials.
60' 1.53
1/8th 6.50@105mph
1/4 10.17@133.6mph! best pass to date.
I tried 16,19, and 20 psi in my tires but nothing seemed to work any better. I need to check the pinion angle again since I swapped rears and get an aftermarket torque for the rear b/c I think the stocker is part of my problem. Still the little CC306 355" LT1 is making some serious power. Later Clint

Nice times man!!! I want to setup my car very similar to yours, is there any way that you could PM me a complete mod list or as much as you feel like.

I have been following your progress closely, good luck on breakin 9's..

Thanks guys. The DA was around 300' above sealevel earlier during the day Saturday. The rear was purchased from Craig@ Extreme Chasis who builds them to fit F-bodys. I bought thge housing and put my own gears, posi and using the stock axles for now. Later Clint

T/A lt1,

Those are great times you have there. I was wondering if you can PM some info on your heads, the porter should be enough. I built a forged 357 LT1 a few years back with a CC306 but didn't have the budget for some good head work. I am ready to pull the heads off this summer to send them out. Can you help?

Clint - how much did Craig charge just for the housing? I was going to build my own, as I have all of the parts, minus the skil, lol. I think he wants too much for a bolt in setup, as the stock ford stuff is pretty strong.

Thanks guys. Craig charges $600 just for the housing but he gives discounts for 7.5" and 8.8" cores which is well worth it in my opinion. Later

Are your rims screwed? The tires could be spinning on the rim

Re: Getting closer! 10.17@133.6mph on radials!

The tires are not screwed to the rims. I don't think they are spinning b/c I can feel the car move around in the 60' and have had people tell me the car hazes the tires with me leaving on motor the spraying about 10-30' out depending on track conditions. But that is something else I need to check next time out with the car by white marking the rim and tire to see if one is moving. Thanks Later Clint
