First time at the track with the T/A

my temps on my first two runs were very high from having to sit in the registration lines. first run temps in the 220 range i ran a 14.35 and there was a stumble around 5k rpms, second run was right after the first one, even worse stumble and would not shift at WOT ran a 15.1. the last run i let the car cool for an hour, temp guage read 180-190 car ran perfect and got a 13.69 trapping 100 mph. so why only at high temps would it fall flat on its face at high rpms?

I am guessing you have an a4. Those are good times for your mods.

Well obviously your car wouldn't run as good if it was that hot but I don't know why it would stumble.

Was it an actual "stumble", or was it possibly the PCM pulling some timing? Running it hot, with a heat soaked IAT sensor will often cost you a few degrees of timing.

i think i may have found the problem, the valley around the injectors was overed in oil, seems that when the engine gets that hot oil found its way into the cylinder.
