first time at track with my new 00 TA

okay...
I just did the FRA to my stock 00 Trans Am A4 3.23 rear and took it to the track for the first time ever in this car...

the weather was very hot, and humid (florida)

60' 2.052
1/4 13.600
MPH 101.94

okay, now for a few questions... my car is all stock except for a FloPro muffler and the FRA. it still runs the stock lid, and stock (very dirty) filter. I am very happy with the ET given the extreem heat and humidity, but the MPH seems low for a 13.6, I was thinking more along the lines of 103 MPH. I feel that I could have more MPH in the car, but when I launch I push soft off the light, then go WOT... you think maybe it would have a 103 if I didnt go so soft off the tree??? this is on stock eagal RS-A's
what do you think??

My LT1 ran dang near the exact same time.
2.072 60ft
13.61
101.90
I had a bad opti and I did not prep the car at all.
35 lbs in the Nittos and no burn out just cleaned em off.

Your MPH seems fine for the times your running, or are you not happy your LS1 is running 102?
Heat and humidity will hurt ya.

Yeah, but all the LS1's I have seen that run 13.5-13.6 run about 103 MPH. my friends 2000 SS with just the FRA ran 13.6 @ 103, then the same day pulled a 13.4 @ 105. Its the same drive train as my TA.

Get a lid and you'll run 103.

What elevation are you at? Stock LS1's usually trap 105 or better...
EDIT: just saw you were in Florida...you will probably see at least 105 mph in cooler, drier weather. Try it again in late October

But the trap speeds are a indication of HP... compared to other 00 LS1 autos... my car down on horse power???
my friend with the 00 SS A4 dynoed his car at 323rwhp with the cut out capped and 337rwhp with it open.... he has a SLP lid, Smooth Bellow, K&N, FRA and a cut out

I have a 00 TA A4 that has the FRA and is going to have a Direct Flo lid, Fernco smooth bellow, and a cut out today... shouldnt they be even close in power????

my traps are confusing me bad, Bradenton FL... low elevation

And what was the barometer? Weather can suck the life right out of a motor. In the range of 50° to 90° with the various other conditions involved my car will vary 4-5mph.

How fast were other comparably modded cars running with you that day? That's the only true comparison. Same day same track.

Just for comparison take a look at my sig.
Now my run was this past Sunday when the temp outside was 73 degrees and humidity was non-existant.
Get a stall converter for that beast and youll be ready to rock-n-roll then bro.

BTW...What was your 1/8th mile ET ?

1/8 was a 8.805 @ 82.18 mph w/ a 2.052 60'

I babied the car off the line, just pushed her slowly out of the hole then hit it.
