First Time Track

i went to the drag for the first time today, its an 1/8 mile ... i have a 98 z28 6spd, with flowmaster exhaust and a lid with a k&n ..

considering i am 19 and i bought the car a month ago, i think i did a good job.... my brother in law has a 96 m3, and he was just talking so much smack that i dontknow how to drive, i dont know how to take off, but i showed him... here are my times, i know i have to get my 60' improved, but i just keep spinning, so please tell me if these times are good for a 19 year old who bought the car a month ago...

thanks

60' = 2.244
330' = 6.207
1/8 mile = 9.341
mph = 78.98

What was the weather like? Altitude? The times aren't all that great. The 9.3 equates to a 14.4 or so and the mph is fairly low. You should be looking for 1/8 mile times in the high 8s at around 80-83 mph. Not too terribly bad for your first time out.
