First time out with my 98

I bought the car wrecked and fixed it. I put a nitrous kit 125, and LCA from my LT1 car on it. I bought a lid and got some flowtech headers. I ran it with the airfiler and all. I was running ET streets and skinnies on the front.
The car bogged out of the hole I guess from the stock convertor and gears. I let it roll out a bit and hit the juice. She took off. I got my slip and heres what it said.
60 ft 1.8219
1/8 et 7.6414
1/8mph 91.89
1/4 12.0844
1/4 mph 112.19
I had to let off a little at the end because my windows fogged up and I couldnt see. I only got 2 runs in. My second run I tried to spray it sooner to keep it from bogging and she burped. But I did manage to pull the front wheels about 6 inches. I think it runs pretty good for just a few mods.
This was at Fayetteville last night.

Mine fog up when I have to sit in line for a while. It only happens at night though and not that bad, but they do fog up.

a little bit yea.......enough that you cant see and have to let off....no. It is a very fast time, but saying that you had to let off because your windows fogged up to try and make us believe your car will go faster than it really does is stupid.

I believe it is faster. I wouldnt call BS unless you seen. I had to let off it. I was real impress with the LS1. I had alot of engine in my LT1 and I could only get it to run 11.0s. So calm down go take your medicine. Its Ok to be jealous. LOL

hehe......I dont doubt your car is fast or the time you ran.....and I'm sure you have more in your car and possibly 11's, but I was just doubting the whole let off thing cause of fog..........but it is all kinda silly so I will squash it and say Nice run man!

Its cool. Well The front glass went clear to pure fog in a split sec. It happened toward the end of the 1/4 so I think I would of atleast got in the 11s. Most of the times a 7.6 in the 1/8 is a 11 sec in the 1/4. But thanks for the congrats.

Re: First time out with my 98

you pulled the front wheels off the ground with a 1.8 60ft? my friend has a 98 and he pulls 1.66 60ft with a 3500 stall, and his wheels don't come up at all.
his suspension is stock exept for !sway bar and poly control arm bushings.

im' comfuz'd

edit: btw, his car runs 11.5

Re: First time out with my 98

I've had mine fog up that way. Real humid day then night hits and the temps get near to the dew point. If you have the HVAC on then the incoming air can fog the inside of the windshield fast. I now run with the HVAC in the off position and it hasn't happened since.

This was on my 2nd run when held it at about 2000. The first time I flashed it and it bogged with a 1.8. The 2nd time it didnt bog. And I hit the gun and she cut off. Anyways. I was running skinnies, ET streets, and LCA only. Of coarse I didnt see it. Im just going by what I was told. Im going to Darlington Wed. If anyone wants to go.
