First nitrous pass

Tried out the nitrous for the first time Sunday. With a 20-30 mph headwind the car was 2/10ths and 4 mph slower NA on my first run. 2nd run, hit the nitrous switch right after launching and had to back off for it to shift into 3rd. The car still ran a 11.44. I can't wait for a full nitrous run.

You should easily go 10's with the 150 hit with NA times you are running as long as the tranny holds. FWIW, set up for the bottle and in the summer my car runs 11.9@114.9 NA but runs 10.3's@129 on the 150 hit. I would think a 10.7 out of yours would be easy to attain spraying out of the hole and on a full pass.

The car always dead hooks NA. (1.65s) On the 1st nitrous pass it cut a 1.612 60ft. hitting the nitrous after the car left the line. On the second run that I botched, trying to let off for the 2-3 shift, it cut a 1.561 60ft. Right now it's about a 120shot with a flat line 10/1 AF and a little less than 1000psi. I'm trying to sneak up on the 150 shot.

Very nice times, it looks like your set-up really likes the bottle. A high 10 someday would make me very happy. On the other hand, the wife wasn't crazy about me telling her I might need a six point bar now. All the tracks around the area are now NHRA except for one.

Good God!

That has to be the best improvement I've seen on a 150 shot!

It is all in the set up. I have a nitrous converter which is not that good for NA times. Gearing plays a major role too.

When I had the 4.10's in the car and 26" tall tires (still with a nitrous converter) I ran consistent 11.5's@118 with 1.60 60fts. in the summer heat with a best of 11.44 (see sig). I changed to 3.70 gears and a 28" tall tire and my times went to 11.9's@114 with a 1.75 60ft in similar weather. However, when I spray the 150 shot my gearing and converter are better matched and that is why I pick up 1.6 seconds and 15 mph. I would run out of gear with the 4.10's on the bottle.

The converter and car in general is set up for a 250 hit but I need a direct port to spray anything over 200 as I melt the rear 2 plugs due to distribution problems. I figure the car would probably go ~9.6-8.8@137-138 on the 250 hit.
