Finally raising stall to 3200...what should I expect?
I'm finally going to do the obd1-obd2 conversion just so I can get the 3200 stall to work properly. If all goes well I hope to see some new bests...but what can an extra 400 rpms really produce? Am I hoping for too much by expecting .1? My 2800 vig flashes around 3100 rpms so I'm thinking I should see around 3500 with the new 3200 stall. I've noticed quite a few of the fastest bolton lt1s are using 3500+ converters and it was recommended that I go to a 3600. My car is street driven so I thought that might have been a bit much. Hopefully when the computer arrives next week and the car is back together, I'll be able to post some results next weekend.

I am thinking about doing the same for now and then going to 36-3800 next summer. I think it should definately p/u 1 tenth but I guess you will soon find out. I fixed my OBD1 prob by putting in a manula valvebody switch on my 4l60e and it works great. When I race I flip the switch on and bam full manual then leave the track flip the switch back on and fully auto. I think it's great. no more programming just to change shift points. Good Luck and be sure to post results.

Dave,i have a 3800 and it isnt all that bad running around. 3600 mwouldnt be bad,or go 3400,my 3400 was GREAT,could barely tell it had a converter with normal driving.
The 3800 is definately noticeable, and hoopefully will pay off when i do heads/cam this winter.

I'm not sure how they react behind LT1's but that 3200 flashes to around 3600 in an LS1.
I had a 3600 originally in mine and it was more like 4000. WAY too much for my combo so I restalled it to a 3200 and was happy.
The 3200 is really nice around town tho.
Good luck, Stu
