finally it's coming together...

Geez, my pooper (that's what we call the car) hasn't been getting where I want it for 3 years. Now...

on the 4th we went to a different track and I had the following -
1.85 60ft, 5.34 330ft, 8.26 660ft, and 12.96 at 104. Promising, but not quite where I expected the car to be.

Last Saturday we went to another track (which I like better). With no other changes than tire pressure, we got the following -
1.75 60ft, 5.25 330ft, and an 8.18 660ft at almost 84 mph.

The right rear airbag was at 7psi and the left one has a hole in it
Left at 750-800rpm and went flat to the floor on the top of the bottom amber (.522). Video (from the rear) shows the car was flat side-to-side, the rear suspension didn't squat and the nose came up (though not real quick). Yeah, a tenth improvement in the 60ft dwindled to .08 by the 1/8th, but I know the plug wires are in sad shape (has a high rpm miss). The 26x10.5-16 ET Streets are well worn and I had 19psi (warm) in it.

I'm happy. I won't plan to take it back to the track until I throw the new wires and plugs on it. The valves need ran too.

Anyone know when an ET Street is ready to be tossed in the garbage...? These no longer have any remnant of the lines left. Since they don't have wear holes...I don't know.... It's my first DOT sticky tire that I have ran this far down.
