Re: Fastest Bolt-on LT1?

Technically speaking, a supercharger or nitrous is considered a "Bolt On"

As long as it "Bolts On" and not "In" to the motor, it should be fair game..

BTW, speaking of fastest LT1's, whats the quickest that Joe O. has run? What is his approx setup? Anyone know? Joe???

Last I heard about Joe was a 9.36. And there is no rules about weight reduction!

Re: Fastest Bolt-on LT1?

I never said there was a rule. The ls1 guys prove that by completely distroying their cars to be an internet hero. I'm just saying steve did it in what is considered a heavy car in the racing world. That car another 200 or so lbs lighter woudl have been a killer.

Re: Fastest Bolt-on LT1?

SVT...in our world..not mustang world..bolt ons mean NA. I know that mustangs have a hard time running without boost or juice but we do fine without it.

Steve...

Thanks Steve! Trying to beat it may be pissing into the wind , but I need something to strive for.

And for the record, my car is a street car. Tagged, licensed and insured. Sure I tossed the AC and my tranny has a manual valve body, but I still got OD and lockup.

Re: Fastest Bolt-on LT1?

SVT..I saw your sig..I had a feeling you were just joking around. Looks like you have a very nice car. you know we have to **** the mustang guys off since we can run so well without having to go to power adders like they do.

PwrShift...Steve and I were talking last night..better get your act together quick. Just messing with ya man...looks like steve may do a bolt on setup again while he is building his monster motor. He told me to go yank that cage out of the car quick...don't need that with a bolt on motor. Good luck on the record..keep us up to date.

Re: Fastest Bolt-on LT1?

I'm working on it. No real weight reduction yet but it will be soon.
The goal is 11.8s with bolt ons and springs/RRs.
