Expected better ET's - advice wanted
Three weeks ago, on bald F1's, I cut what I thought to be pretty fair times. Tonight I went back with new KDW's, TB bumpstop ground to 4.6V, and TB coolant bypass. I really expected at touch the 12's, but couldn't get traction. It was a cold night and they finally shut us down when it hit 37 degrees. Could it have made that much difference to the street tires? Keep in mind that Steve Sanders was there with his lightly modded LS1 and Nittos and cut 2 12.71's and a 12.68 in an A4 w/2300 stall.
Here is the best slip from tonight. (December 6, 38 degrees, humidity 75%). Feedback is welcomed
60' - 2.231
330' - 5.863
1/8 - 8.776 @ 85.01
1/4 - 13.433 @ 105.72
Comparing, here is previous best (November 15th, 50 degrees, humidity 80%)
60' - 2.09
330' - 5.665
1/8 - 8.573 @ 85.01
1/4 - 13.234 @ 105.26
I tried several launch techniques, starting with just wiping off the tires and launching hard from a 1500 rpm footbrake (went completely up in smoke twice), to a full burnout and an 1100 rpm footbrake with an easy throttle roll on (the best run).
Tire pressure = 30 lbs.
OK guys, help me get my self respect back.

I think your biggest problem is the tempature. If it was around or below 50 degrees when you were running, the track is unforgiving and usually does not allow for good runs. I am surprised they let it get to 37 before they closed it. I was just up at Darlington last weekend and they didn't want to run below 50 degrees outside. Of course their was a nova and a camaro that ran consitent 5.1s in the eigth, that were drag cars. But they had trouble with the 60ft. And then their was an alcohol blown 69 camaro called "Abuse The Power" their that could not get traction at all. He had to let off three times in the 60ft and still went a 5.40 in the eigth at 149mph. But the big thing is traction, if you can hit a mid to low 1.9 60ft time then I think you will get your 12 second run. Good luck and I hope you get in the 12s man.
