ET streets, over kill?

Full bolt on LT1, LCAs, PHB, QA1s, Track Link, stock 10 bolt with 3.23s, 3200 Vigi, plan to spray the car, not to worried about breaking the 10 bolt, if it breaks it breaks, if it lasts it lasts, dont really care. But with this set up, would it be better on a drag radial or a ET Street? What ever tires will be on some 16inch Firebird wheels. The cars prety much just a weekend car, would like to hit some 12s this winter full bolt ons and deep 11s on spray

What he said ^^^^ ET Radials, 255 50 R16s on the 16x8s are awesome...went consistent 1.55s to 60' with them and they ride/wear great, too...We've got local guys running in the mid 9s with the 325 50 R15s with 1.20-1.30ish 60's...

How many miles can you get out of a pair of et radials? Just doing burnouts in the water box that is.

Re: ET streets, over kill?

I just took off a set of 255 50 R16s that were on my car for almost a year with 3000ish miles on them and about 30 track runs and they weren't half gone yet...The big key was running no more than 25 psi on the street. Check the wear pattern and watch the centers...I just used my kids driveway chaulk and marked the tires varying pressure until I got a good wear mark as to not wear out the centers...They don't chunk and throw rubber like my old BFG DRs did...

Re: ET streets, over kill?

I just put a new set of ET Streets on and I got 60 passes at the track out of them. Only street driving was to the track and to some cruise-in's.

Another 1 for MT Drag Radials. I have about 50 passes and 2500 or so miles on mine and still going strong.
