ET Streets Coming! Rear End Gonna Last? Stall & Gears

Check out my mods listed in my sig..

Vigilante 2800 Stall
Bmr Lca's
3.73
Etc....

Well after running a best of low 14's in my car with major traction problems I have bought two extra rims and will Be ordering Et Streets soon. I think I can get into the mid to high 13's with slicks with ease. I am at 3800 elevation too! I run low 14's @ right about 97 MPH with ****ty *** 2.4xx or higher 60 foot times. The track improved the compund and every day getting better since they repaved it and rubber is being left down.

I am thinking the best was will be to launch at around 1000Rpms to 1200Rpm's because I really don't want to break the rear. I just want my times to drop good into the 13's. What good are my stall gears, etc.. without traction.

Is my Rear Going To Hold Up Though, and how should I launch to be easy on the rear? Any Advise?

It'll be fine, just be sure to use the water when you do a burnout. Not saying it couldn't happen though.

I figure it will since a guy here with 350 RWHP Ls1 was running et streets and his laster 2 seasons of Hard HARD driving and 6K Clutch drops till it went boom. So then I will be ok babying it and being automatic.

I've cut quite a few 1.6's in the past few months on Nitto's and been fine. I just wore those out and moved to 10.5 ET Streets and went out to the track the other night. Got 4 passes in and the car felt fine.

They are a world of difference in "feel" compared to the Nitto.

I have run a ton of 1.6 60's and quite a few 1.5's with over 450rwhp so you should be fine. Javier how did your car run with those ET streets? I have heard they slowdown most 300-400rwhp cars a little bit like mph and a tenth ET? I would like to try a set of BFG's for some motor passes and see if I p/u et and mph. LMK later Clint

t/a.. ran my car on Wednesday again in some decent weather (nowhere near as good as my 12.0 pass) and pulled a 12.22 @ 111 w/ the ET Streets on a 1.70 60'. The pass before that was a 12.2x pass also on a 1.68 60'.. I'm very very happy with the ET Streets, they hook all night long for me. With the Nitto's, track prep had to be perfect or else as the night progressed, I lost traction.

last weekend I cut 3 1.5 60 ft's and now my 10 bolt screams when you drive at normal speeds its a gonner, dont give your stock rear to much time either if your cutting a good 60. I have a 9 inch that will cure what ails it though!

You might get lucky, but don't plan on it lasting. If you can't afford to repair or upgrade, don't do it. If you can afford it, why bother with a 1,000rpm launch?

It will last. I have several friends (Rockafella, jkbadz28) on here that have run well into the 10's for over a year in A4 cars with the 7.5 inch 10 bolt.

Well with et streets I will not have to worry at all about traction, I know it will be their. I hear to many people with nitto's having bad days where they can't hook or having problems hooking up still. I have faith in my rear as long as I don't abuse the **** out of it. I also only go to the track maybe once or twice a month, now with tires I will probably go once every 2 weeks at least.

A guy here with an ls1 did 6000k launches with 4.10's and it lasted him 2 seasons worth, and he is an abuser of his car. He was pushing 380hp at the wheels running 12's.
