I run 26/10/15 ET Drags. Friday I went out with 17PSI in them and felt good but spun, dropped them down to eventually 12psi and got out of it on the top end of the 1/8th mile. It was wiggling pretty good, buddies watching said it was skating but not spinning them. I dont know if I am a wimp or what but I do not like these ET Drags, they seem so unstable below 15psi. is this normal and should i just hang on or do i need to balance them? currently they are not balanced, dont really want to be throwing weights around...but under current set up i will either put up with it or get some fat DRs.
What do you suggests?
BTW, with traction issues and some other small stuff i was able to run 90MPH in the 1/8th so I am happy!! More to come later!

Hey, Shon
I ran 12psi and it felt pretty good to me. It really did not skate around hardly at all for me.
90mph in the 1/8? That's pretty darn good, that would have been on a 11 second pass.
I did not balance mine and they felt good to me.

I was happy with the MPH considering some of the things i know that still needs to be done. It never ends does it?
I hope to put this HOT cam in the 11s this year. I am close i think...
I need to play with shift points, think they might be too high right now...just need track time...

I used ET Streets the last 2y (26x16x11.5) and found the best 60' times at 12.5psi. They were quite sensitive to inflation pressure. A half a pound either way made a difference.
The best 60' was 1.53sec in my car with a "road race" type suspension. I could do mid 1.5's consistently with 12.5psi. With 12.5psi the car was a little squirrely at the top end (~135mph) but nothing too scary or hard to control. What suspension pieces are you using?

Skinnies.
I have ET Drags on my car and run generally in the 11-12 psi range. The car generally likes to skate up in the high end of a 1/4 pass but usually doesnt move much in the 1/8. I just hold the wheel straight and shift
It takes a little while to get used to it but once you do you really forget all about it although my butt did pucker up a lot at first LOL.

All that stuff weighs too much...I will go back to a BFG DR before putting all that on the car, or put more air in them to keep them stable.
Is there any construction difference between Streets and Drags? I was thinking it was just the 'tread' area...

If this is your first time running on a bias-ply slick then it will feel very soft in the top end. You will feel the a$$ end moving around but you will get used to it. Don't worry, it is normal with a tire that has a soft side wall.
I'm running ET Streets 26X10.50 @13 psi and my best 60 ft with that pressure has been a 1.75 A friend of mine took the bird down the 1320 with 10 psi in the Streets and pulled a 1.69 60 ft!
Once I get used to the wobble, I'll drop it down Puckered up pretty good first time I ran the ETs

Went to the track last night and dropped the pressure down to 11psi and it still felt pretty good. Best run was a 11.71@114.55 that's pulling a 1.64 60' time.
DA's was just over 1700' and the humidty was at 78%. I know once the car gets really good air it's going to move.
