Unhappy The elusive 12's

Well, went to ATCO for the last time before I add the Vigilante, shift kit and super charger. I could not get a 12.99. My best was 13.003. I also ran 13.02, 13.06. All 3 at 106.8-107.2 mph. 60ft ranged from 1.86-1.92. I had the ft tires up to 50 pds, no spare and 1/4 tank of gas. Drag radials set to 11 pounds. Any more led to spinning. 3 stinkin thousandths of a second.

So you're in the 13s with a supercharger? Did I read this right? Even your trap is incredibly low. If you have a blower and I read your sig right, you need bigger injectors and a custom tune instead of that HyperCrap.

Oh God no!!!! I am running this number now, without the torque converter, shift kit and blower. I wanted to get into the 12's before that stuff. If I ran that with a supercharger.......

Re: The elusive 12's

Those are almost the exact same #'s my car was getting all summer! I feel your pain man!!! 13.02 was my best time, 108 mph was my best speed, and 1.92 was the best 60'...............so close, yet so far.

Oh yeah, and my Dad's car ('73 Camaro) pulled a 12.79 with a 2.1 60'.....go figure.

Kind of makes you want to put your head through a wall, doesn't it. A few hundreths or even thousandths of a second. Well, after the converter and shift kit, there should be no problems.

Hahaha. I'm sorry. Missed a few words and reread it. That's what posting at 12:30 in the morning does I guess. Regardless, try getting a real tune in there besides Hypertech. Get a custom tune, and I don't necessarily mean PCMforless either.

Yes, I agree with the hypertech. I got the programmer about 8 years ago because I needed to adjust the speedo for the 3.73 gears. I am going to have the car reprogrammed after the supercharger and trans stuff.
