I always wanted to do that.

Taner still brought the truck and trailer just in case. Thanks.

We got there and I decided that I'd try a couple of passes on the nittos. Well I netted a best of

2.22 60'
12.1
124.6.

After the fun runs, on went the et streets and skinnies. I ended up getting stuck running brackets. blahhh.

Best pass was a

1.51
10.81
126.9

I was pretty happy with this on 94 octane and with the passenger seat and full exhaust with my borla plate removed.

I was in a good mood so Taner got to drive my car home. It actually was nice observing the car from outside on the street. There are a few little odds and ends to tie up for more awesome cruising.

Are you telling me that switching from Nittos to ET Streets brought your time from 12.10 to 10.81?! Wow, do I ever need to get me some ET Streets!!

It's fun watching your own car driving along, isn't it? My buddy and I traded cars awhile back (he's got a '96 T/A) and it was so weird watching my own car following me, then pass me.....we basically played "leap frog" just so we could see all the angles of our cars! It was a lot of fun, but freaky at the same time!

So when/where are you guys going to the track next? A guy I know is talking about going to Cayuga next Saturday for Test 'n Tune (he's got a '78 Z28 with some work done to it) so I'm thinking of going to run him, 'cause I beat his car last year, but supposedly he's done some things to make his car run better this year. We'll see.

That is awesome. That is a true street car. I would like to get my car in the 10's (on nitrous) and still be able to drive it to the track.

That's exactly what I did. I drove it to the track with my ET Steets loaded in the hatch with the rear seat folded down. Changed tires at the track and ran 10's then drove it back home.

My car still has all creature comforts, including functional A/C.

Congrats!!

Congrats! But I still have the fastest time I know of for a "100+ mile roundtrip car". I went 10.66 @ 136 after driving 60m to the track with the ET Streets and a jack in the back. Fun to beat those "race cars" when you can still drive your up and back (with the AC running in my case)
