disapointing times

With mods in my sig, stock converter, 2.73 gears a4 I ran the following times at US41 dragstrip.

-worst run-

60 foot......2.095
330...........5.944
1/8............9.048
1/8 mph.....79.81 mph
1000..........11.687
1/4.............13.902
1/4 mph......101.64 mph

-best run-

60 foot.......2.098
330............5.890
1/8.............8.982
1/8 mph.....80.06 mph
1000..........11.615
1/4.............13.832
1/4 mph......101.29 mph

My best 60 foot of the night was a 2.050, but I ran a 13.902 (exact same as my worst run) I though for sure I would be able to pull a 1.9xx 60 foot with my bfg drag radials.....but they didnt really seem to help much more then street tires. I cant really tell if I'm spinning em because they make no noise when they spin so its really hard to tell. Are the bfg drag radials bad when brand new? Any advice is apreciated, thanks.

That 60' looks about right for a stock convertered, 2.73 geared car w/DR's. Put a real gear in it, and at least a 2800 converter, and watch those times drop by at least half a second! And make sure you get a good converter, such as Yank, Vigilante, etc.

that sounds alright with me, i averaged 13.7's to 13.8's in crappy weather with 2.01 - 2.08 60's with 2.73's and the only mods bein SLP catback and CAI

i'm sure plenty of ppl will tell ya they ran slower than that with more mods

Those times arent bad

Converter + Gears + Long Tubes + Drag Radials = 12s

Your car is running what it should for those mods, but the lack of gears, stall and headers are holding you back

Mark: Didn't you alreadt buy 3:73's? I don't think your times look bad for your mods.

update: went to different track and 7 runs all in the 13.8's at 101.xx mph.

Best et was 13.830 @ 101.54 mph with a 2.029 60 foot (best of night also)

I worked on my reaction times too and pulled consistent .6xx with a .568 as my best rt. I ran in the trophy brackets and won the first round, but the second round I redlighted with a .486 rt and broke out of my time by .01.

So bottom line is I guess I'm really not to unhappy with my times at all.....just need to get a few more mods and run some low 13's.

Oh and an off topic question if anyone has an idea........On one of my burnouts I really got on it and heard kind of a bang in the rear and then rolled out of burnout.....My abs inop light came on and I could no longer turn off my asr (thinking to myself yes!!!the dreaded asr is gone! (traction control btw)) , I still ran a good time though and as soon as I turned off my car and turned it back on the abs inop light was gone and the asr was back on.........anyone have any ideas what may have happened???
Oh and thanks for your guys reply's.

Mark,
I think those are pretty good times for your car, considering the A4 and 2.73 gears. Get a stall and higher gears and your new posts will go from disapointing times to disapointing traction.
