Crappy night at the track, but...
At least I got my 60' down. I was able to get a 2.0x on street tires, with my M6 and modified suspension. Basically, my suspension is the opposite of what you want for a good 60' time. Stiff shocks, and HUGE front sway bar. I was happy with the 2.0x 60', but my MPH were low for some reason. 103.2 mph vs. my previous 104.8 mph. I think I'll wait till fall for some good weather and try again. It was a tiny bit warm today, but not bad at all. I think my engine was too hot.
Plus, I missed a shift on two seperate runs. Just wasn't my night.
I was the ONLY 4th gen Camaro there. Must have been at least 8 4th gen Trans Am's/ Formulas though. Weird.
Sorry for the rant.

Didn't realize that it was you in the white car or I would have come over.
Later in the night the air got better and everyone picked up 1-1 1/2mph.

Yeah, I wondered about that. On my drive back to Saginaw, the air kept getting noticably cooler by the time 8:30-9:00 rolled around. Bummer. I should have stuck around. I didn't feel like blowing the whole night at the track though, since it's a little over an hour drive back for me.
I was frustrated with my missed shifts. I don't know what came over me, but maybe I lost concentration. I mean, I missed the 3-4 shift once! First time ever. It was too bad too, because I was reeling in that nice looking 70's Corvette, and would have taken him right at the end, but then I missed 3-4.
I also missed the 2-3 shift on one run. I haven't missed a shift in the last half dozen times out to the track, so yesterday wasn't my night. I only had two decent runs out my 4 runs.Maybe I'll see you next time.
