Converting 4 point roll bar to 6 point.
Converting 4 point roll bar to 6 point.
I currently have a 4 point bolt in wolfe roll bar. Not only is it bolt in but it also has a removeable cross bar so it isnt legal in any sense.
Can I convert a 4 point bolt in to a 6 point track legal roll bar or am I better off selling mine and just starting from scrathc with one from wolfe?

It depends a lot on the current bar.
Can the removable crossbar be welded in?
Is the "bolt-in" on 6"x6"x1/8" steel plates on the top and bottom of the floor?
What's the diameter of the current bar? It needs to be 1 3/4" diameter and .134" thick walled material. The spec is for a minimum of .118" thick walls but when it's bent, the metal is stretched and gets thinner.
Personally I doubt the cosmetic bolt-in 4 point bar can be made track legal. Sell it to someone who wants their car to look cool and buy a proper roll bar.

Well its a wolfe bar and Im assuming it meets all the requirements you mentioned.
I should have made a better descision when I went with the 4 point two years ago. I had no idea the car was going to be what it is today.
