Talking Consistent 10's

ABout two weeks ago I went to the track and it was hot as hell out but it had been a while since I raced the car and just got my new 5 disc Vigilante in so I thought it was time to beat the **** out of the old girl

First pass left at idle and nailed it and ran 10.595 @ 129.08 (1.556 60 ft).

Next pass, left at 1500 and cut a 1.504 60 ft, ran 6.610 @ 104.94 in the 1/8th and ended up with a 10.339 @ 131.57

Next pass I raced a buddy of mine in his 78 Z/28 (he's dyno'd 550 at the wheels with a Paxton ~12/13#'s of boost and a 150 shot

Was going to launch at 2K this time but after we decided to race I figured I'd go with a known commodity for my launch as this was only my 10th pass on the car with this motor and third with the new torque converter anyway....

cut a 1.517 60 ft to his 1.777
6.617 @ 105.32 in the 1/8th to his 7.026 @ 103.02
Ran my new best of 10.310 @ 135.73 to his 10.733 @ 128.02

I then asked a friend of mine to take a video for me and had to ask some dude if I could cut in front of him so I could get the right lane for a better video and as we got closer it looked like I was gonna race some newer Mustang and I was like cool, good video slapping a Mustang around will be sweet, then as I get closer Rick moves some cars around as someone had a pre set up race and I end up againt some early 70's Mopar, w/ full cage, slicks, fiberglass everywhere (no headlights, just lookalike headlights molded into the nose) and I thought now this sucks gonna get my *** haned to me on my best video......

Well campers not today

.611 r/t to his 1.098
1.559 60 ft to his 1.566
10.390 @ 132.22 to his 10.422 @ 129.84

(gotta get around the Geocities bandwidth limits )

Went back up on last Saturday and the weather was a little better about 74 to start the day and last time I checked it was about 82 degrees.

My best pass was 10.201 @ 136.68.

I was stoked, made 6 passes and all but one was a 10.2XX pass and the one that didn't make a 10.2 was a 10.305

The day went as follows

1.553 sixty ft - 10.281 @ 134.32

1.563 sixty ft - 10.305 @ 134.12

1.512 sixty ft - 10.201 @ 136.68

1.541 sixty ft - 10.249 @ 133.66

1.549 sixty ft - 10.243 - 134.51

1.538 sixty ft - 10.238 @ 133.87

I had a rematch with the green 72 duster that I pounded last week and the results were the same.

The car is getting pretty consistent.

Really looking forward to some October weather

And yes still running catalytic converters.

Very nice. Any idea what your raceweight may be?

Also....can you provide some details about OSCAR? There wasn't any details on Lonnie's page and said it was to be available soon...but I see you are already running it.

Thanks,

Dave

Thanks

It weighs 3820 ish with me in it depending on how much fuel I have but I've weighed it several times and it's allways in the low 3800 lb range.

Regardig OSCAR, I'm running the prototype and I'm not sure when the production models will be released the inventor / creator has a few other projects going on right now and has OSCAR's on the back burner.

Sorry for not replying sooner but I made this post and have been in Asia for a couple of weeks and forgot about this post.

Jonesing to get back to the US and beat the **** out of hte wife and bang the car.
