competition engineering 3 way shocks

The drag shocks, are they any good? Are they a good cheap alternative to hals? Where to get them from and whats the correct ones for a 94z?

Thanks

Joe

i have used them are they are decent.. They don't last that long behind a heavy car such as ours.. but you'll get a season out of them. not bad for 38 bux imho..

I have them on mine. Drag only car. Can't beat the $38 mod. I got 'em from Summit.

IllusionalTA My car is still a pig at 3600lbs. Nice color though

Ive been running them for the past year and I really like them. Cant beat the price. I have mine set at 50/50 and it works great with my set up. Too bad they dont make a front for the 4th gen.

I've had mine for about 5 yrs and they still working like a champ. I have them set at 50/50. One of the best mods you can buy that won't bust your pockets wide open.

I have them on my '95Z and they work well, especially with an airbag in the right rear. Set @ 50/50 right now.

The lakewood's are pretty good too, at about $5 more a shock, also from summit. I have those on my '94TA along with an airbag and they do fine.

Just haven't been able to justify the price/reason for the hal adjustables to how often I'd use them on both cars. They're nice, but they're also expensive, imo.

Same here, I have been meaning to get some Comp 3 ways and an air bag for mine. I have a buddy with the Lakewoods, hes impressed with them. I cant wait till lake wood comes out with one for the fronts for the 4th gens. I can spend that kind of money for Hals.

Neil, give me a shout in a couple of weeks, and I should be able to hook you up with an air bag CHEAP

I was looking at a different setup for my rear, as the airbag alone doesnt seem to be cutting it any more. I asked around and had quite a few people tell me that while the Comp Eng shocks could work, that they really didn't have the adjustabily I'd probably need, as they only have 3 settings. The hals that I've been running up front have really proven themselves to me, so I've got a set of the rear Hals on order through Thunder.

Personally, I think the quality (at least of what I've seen from the fronts) and the credibility from those who are using them, were plenty of justification to make the purchase of the rear Hals.
