Changes to the LTX Shootout classes
Changes to the LTX Shootout classes
After getting numerous emails and phone calls about people that can not come to the race because of this rule or that rule we have made a few changes to allow more entries but added weight penalties to level the playing field.
These changes were made to benefit the race and were not made for individual gain or purpose. We also reviewed NMCA rules about certain things and it gave us ideas as well.
This should open the door to many more cars to come to the event but yet keep a level playing field.
The rule changes are as follows:
Outlaw: 4-link set-ups will be allowed but with a 150 lb weight penalty
P/A and N/A and 6-speed: Converted 23* SBC heads will be allowed but with 100 lb weight penalty.
Also nitrous only cars will get a 100lb weight break in Outlaw and P/A.

Keep registering folks!
Thank you all!

Here's another Shoot-Out question on the tree we’ll be using at KCIR.
The two bracket classes will obviously be using a .5 Sportsman-Tree, as that is the standard for all handicapped (dial-in) starts with drag racing.
So, with the heads-up classes, are we also going to use the .5 Sportsman-Tree, or possibly the .5 Pro-Tree?
