Exclamation Challenged For A Race...

I am pretty damn new here and do not really know what to post about but I do not want to get you confused here, this is not my car it is my fathers I am his "Little Worker" Telling him whats new and whats the top brands. He does not know much of the new things so I am here to ask him. But anyway my dad has been challenged by hsi friend to race him. I know he will get burned because this guys has the same car just everything possible is done to it...it has all the engine mods you can think of and yes he even has NOS. I told my dad not to race him because...well...he would get own3d...but he said he might for the kicks. What would you do?

Quickly back away from the keyboard and ask your mom if you can go outside and play with your friends.

My dad has a 1998 Camaro SS no mods done to it yet. This other guy is running a 1999 Mustang GT...he has NOS, new exhaust, lowered suspension(also does auto course racing),and he runs just under 11 seconds...I am not sure how fast my dad runs yet because we did not time it yet because he just got it.

a bone stock SS is capable of low 13s/ high 12s in the 1/4. if your dads friends stang runs 11s, i wouldnt waste my time.

and on this site, we reffer to nitrous oxide as the following, but not limited to- N2O, nitrous, spray, juice, gas, squeeze, on the bottle, on the jug, etc. BUT NEVER NOS!! N.O.S. is a company owned by Holley that specializes is nitrous oxide performance. its not a word.

just a word of advice, you can get banned from some sites for saying such rubbish

That GT can be easily wned:

Or

Refuse to race him with the bottle.. duh..

edit: shouldn't this be moved to the "track kill stories" or the "lounge"?

You say he runs just under 11 seconds. Does that mean this a 10 second GT on the gas. That would be a heck of a fast new GT. I can only speculate that at the most he is running a 150 shot and if he is running 10s on a 150 shot he will probably run mid-to-low 12s on motor. Could you go more in debt with what the engine in the mustang has done to it or other mods it has?

He didn't me you couldn't call it NOS, he meant (I think) if the guy is running a genuine N.O.S. kit, then call it NOS. If a brand other than that use a different term.

yeah, people on here tend to get pissed off when nitrous is referred to as NOS. as for the race...don't even bother, only chance is if the guy in the stang roasts his tires at the start and ur dad gets a dead hook. plus, he cud b running more than a 150 shot if he drops a new engine in all the time...he|| if i could drop a new engine in every now and then id run a supercharger at 20psi and then a 1000 shot of nitrous...haha dont i wish.

take it easy every1,
jake
