Burnouts with 2.73 gears?

Burnouts with 2.73 gears?

mods are in sig...with my line locks on should i throw the car in #1 position and let it do a burnout in first or should i put it in 2 and do it that way...actually now that im thinkin about it im not sure if i have the old 1-2-D-OD anywayz how should i do my burnout with a dot slick such as hoosiers?

I do mine in 1st with 3.42s.
1st will net you plenty of speed to warm them fast. You may have to cut out the shifter limit tab from the console to engage 1st.

You shouldn't HAVE to cut out the tab. I've never cut mine, you just have to yank back harder. Try it on the street, yank the shifter all the way back and go down the road...if it shifts into 2nd, trying yanking back a lil harder. My stock 2.73 car will stay in first if I yank back hard enough, and no I don't have to hold it, it stays on it's own. To heat up the tires real good, at least let it go into 2nd.
