Oh, I'm car 57 in the left lane BTW. The car in the right lane was a DSM Eclipse. Would I lie about being smoked by that?
The e.t. is not unbelievable. The trap speed is the thing that is so far out of the ordinary for those mods. Your only mods were cat back and lid? That is worth about 15-20ish rwhp. No weight reduction? No other mods at all? What is the elevation of that track? What was the temperature, barometer, humidity and density altitude that day? Something is not right here. Get that thing on a dyno and a scale.

"humm date's a little off on the time slip there 1/03/80 good stuff"

If I took the time to fabricate a slip, don't you think I would make sure to get the date right? Carlsbad never sets its date. I have other slips from last Saturday with the same date. I can find other guys from Carlsbad to verify, but who really cares. My car ran a 12.8, and that's not far fetched for an 02 with my mods.

I'll get some slips with DRs. Can't wait to see all the BS flags fly then!

Steve Y. We are at sea level or just above. It was about 70. I'll bet pretty close to 29.92 or standard sea level. I do have a NACA duct in my custom hood that leads right into the airbox. It's pretty good at getting cold air in from the top. I built my hood to weigh about 15 lbs. I guess it works the way it's supposed to.

your ET with your mods is believeable.i do have a hard time believing your MPH and ET with this 60'.your timeslip doesnt look legitimate, but ive never been to that track so i cant say.

as badass as ls1s are i cant see them running this strong under any conditions with any driver.

The trap speed is bs not necessarily the e.t.

And your point is? What do you think your car ran when nearly stock?

Hey aspkikr is your car white w/white mirrors or black or another color. I was there sunday, just trying to see if I remember your car. I didn't see very many z28 cars out there. Tons of Vettes and Cobras.

youre right they do get those times.but you know what?its usually not done with a 2.2 60' and a 113 trap with those mods.

a timeslip wouldve helped his case but theres just too many other things that dont make sense.a timeslip alone doesnt prove much.either it could be someones elses car or he could have LTs and gears and wed never know.

no one praises ls1s more than me but im familar with what ls1s are capable of and this doesnt add up.

Hey Keiii

My Z is black with dark tinted windows. I think I talked to just about every guy there with a LS1 Z that day.

Strange that you mention GU5 in your sig instead of 3.23 gears because I talked with a guy about what gears he had. The guy had a Z w/ an auto trans.

What's your ride look like?

That's cool if some don't believe it. Here are more timeslips anyway.

Here are more from last Saturday. (Car 57)

Here's just after I bought the car. I think I had removed the MAF screen and some plastic in the way of the intake. (13.439@108.32 - Car 46)

My last time out I ran 13.13@110.9. The slip is at my office and I can post it tomorrow. That slip was with lid, free mods and hood only.
