Broke into the 12's today

I ran a 12.854@113.26 on a 2.228 60' on stock rubber. My mods are lid, Glass' hood, cat-back and boxed LCAs. Looking for mid 12's on tire.

I wouldn't doubt it. I personally watched a BONE STOCK 02 Z28 at Atco going down the track to the tune of 12.8-9's at a consistent 110 trap speed on about a 2.0 short time in an A4.

No BS. Those are my mods. When I get home from work I'll post the timesip. There was another 02 A4 with LT's, TC, 4.10's, tuning and tire running in the 12.0 range. I ran at Carlsbad in San Diego.

That trap speed has to me some sort of record for that few of mods. What was the density altitude, -5000 feet? Get that thing dynoed. You may have a super freak.

he could've also been spinning off the line too, wich will (usually) result in a higher trap speed, with that 60' it seems like thats a possibility

And your only mods are a lid and a cat back? If so you have the fastest LS-1 ever recorded for those mods. I'm having a hard time believing it as well.

Here you go. I can snap pics of the car under the hood and exhaust etc.. Honest to God truth.

Oh, I'm car 57 in the left lane BTW. The car in the right lane was a DSM Eclipse. Would I lie about being smoked by that?

Naaa... that's no B.S.

I just bought an 02 Z28 M6, 2 weeks ago. My first trip to Thunder Valley was yesterday. Here are the times I got out of this 100% bone stock, 8,000 mile car.

My best run was 13.22 @ 108.2mph and that was with a terrible 2.24 60' time... screetching the tires for a good 20ft out of the hole.

My best 60' of the day was only a 2.15. I have seen quite a few posts here about guys that can get 1.90s and even 1.80s on radials out of these cars.

With some more practice, I will be hitting 12.999 or better in this car VERY soon!

If I put a lid, Glass' hood, cat-back and boxed LCAs on this car and not run a 12.85 @ 109mph+...something is very wrong!

Ohh.. and BTW, Thunder Valley Raceway in Noble, OK. is not at sea level ...try - - Elevation 1,054 ft
