BFG for the track, the way these fbody rears are, only thing you could do is say a few prayers before heading down the track

Nitto's have the best street life, Mickeys hook best at the track, and the BFG's hook better than the Nittos and will probably outlast the Mickeys on the street. You choose.
What hurts the rear the most is a hard launch, especially if there is no preload on the driveline. I would break the stock rear with 3.73's, Auburn Pro diff, and TA cover every 400 passes. I rebuilt it twice then bought a 12 bolt. I broke it on drag radials and I broke it with both a six speed and an automatic.
