Best DR? stall ?

95z, some bolt ons, nothing extreme yet, and a 3500 stall . what would be the best way to launch cuz when i hit the gas i am all over the place even after heating the tires, but their street tires. What drag radials do you guys find success with and how do you launch in my situation? thanks

I agree . Some guys claim to run even quicker ET's and better 60ft's with the new M/T ET Street Radial.

Re: Best DR? stall ?

The stall speed seems a bit high for an internally stock motor. I would have it set for 2800-3000, and a good tranny cooler installed. A stock valvetrain will generally work most efficiently at less than 6000.

As far as drag radials, MT ET Street Radials should provide the most traction at the strip, and be crappy in rain, and have very poor tread wear. Nitto's will not have the best track performance, but will be decent on the street and have decent tread wear. BFG's are in the middle... Better traction than the Nittos but not at good as the MT's, better tread life than the MT's but less than the Nittos. Take your pick.

I love the M/T DRs...and they arent really all that bad in the rain. I drove home in the rain on em doin' about 60ish most the way. And this was on DRs that are right at the wear bars

That stall is too high for a stock motor.

stock motor/bolt on LT1=2800-3000 stall...would probably be your best bet
