Indeed I was. I'm building a car that's kinda similar to Rick's (LT1 under 400 cubes, twin turbos instead of one biggun), so I have a good idea what kind of power & times it's capable of.

Thanks, the video was made by my friend Fran, just something he threw together really quick. He's from Penn too, but went to school down in Houston. Hopefully there will be some videos from the track really soon, like in a couple of days

Lets just say it pegged the dyno at 1200rwhp. That alone should be good for mid to high 7 second passes, only if the rest of the car is setup right. I good friend of mine(Mike Keenan) just dyno'ed 1189rwhp at 5,400 elevation. This is a 99 mustang. Up here it went 8.08@178mph. This was on 18psi and a 106mm turbo. Car is sponsered by Turbo People and Wolf. You can check it out on there sites. Should give you a good idea of what it could run. Hope to see some 7 second passes out of your car. Good luck.

Re: Been a while but I'm going for #1

look forward to seeing it run! i don't want to have to be helping to pull your hood off at the burnout box, to get it running, and helping you get your seat belt on so as not to timeout . g'luck!

do you think the lt1 block can take a 400 hit of n2o? and survive!?

and are you gonna let the cat outta the bag? lol!!!!

Well, Phil the owner of CXI(a now defunked shop in Houston) had a 400-500shot on his 421ci LT4 in a 95 vette. The engine apparently held through dyno runs, track passes, highway runs, daily driving, and even a magazine article photo shoot(Corvette magazine). Atleast he had the sheets and timeslips to say so. But the rest of the car had problems staying together, I dont know how long the engine held together, and he was a known liar and thief.

I wouldnt base it off that, but I just thought Id bring it up.

I ran Phil's car with my old green car. It was never setup to run 1/4 mile times and he never could drive the thing so it always looked silly at the track. On the street he was so hated he didn't show his face around much. The car sounded and looked good but thats about the extent of it from what I saw...

The car is/was real tho cept I didn't know it was a 421. I thought it was a 396 with a whole lotta gas...

Yeah it was a 421ci LT4(atleast originally), and setup as a highway car. From what I heard he ran a turbo viper and single turbo Supra(both making over 1000hp) out on I-10 and won both races. So I guess he was being truthful on the power.

but do you think he was spraying it with a 400 hit...hmmm i doubt it, especially if it was set up for street fun.

Well I cant say for sure. But he had the dyno sheets, and was featured on the cover of vette magazine with the title "1000hp daily driver". I think it would take a rather large shot to make 1000+hp through LT4 heads(although he may have been lying). He and his car were pretty well known in the Houston scene, Im sure alot of people on here can back me up on his claims.
