back to the track been over a year

Got a new set of mt dr's mounted up and headed out to the local 1/8th mile.

car didn't run for nothing on motor
60' was like a 1.8
1/8th was 8.2 @ 85mph

gave up on motor and decided to spray it.
window switch set to 2700 on and 6300off
60' 1.58
1/8th was 7.22 @95.46

2nd nitrous run was
60' 1.56
1/8th was 7.27 @ 95.49

mods are all the bolt ons, lt's no cats and gmmg, 224/236 cam and supporting mods, "2800" vig stall, 3.42 gears, nx kit 150 shot, lcas and relos, no sway bar or back seat or spare or a/c, rest of the suspension is stock. Weld pro stars front and rear.

Looking to do a kmember, a arms, and hals for the front and some lightweight carpet. Just installed some ce 3 way drag springs. Looking for some 6.9's the way it sits mod wise. Car prolly still weighs 3600lbs with me in it.

Nice runs. What does it usually do on motor? Looks like you would of run ~12.6-12.8 on motor. Nice times on the bottle. Looks like you were not too far off of your personal best on the bottle.

Its been a best of 7.8 at about 88 or 89mph. And run a 12.30 at its best. But typical runs on motor in the 1/8th are 7.8's. Normal on motor 60's are in the low to mid 1.7's. That night on motor it cut a terrible mid 1.8. But ran about what it should have on the gas.

Do you have any comparison for the 3.23 vs 3.42 gears? BTW, How long do you expect that rear to last with those 60s?

Whoa, lets not talk like that. Iv'e got a few 1.58s, and a best of 1.56 with nitrous (on at 4k) and consistent 1.61s on motor. I think the trans (in my case) will give up the ghost first.

94irocz, nice runs.

Dunno its taken the abuse for a good little bit so far. There have been a few guys here that I personally know of in the area that have 60'd that hard with a 10bolt in their car. No experience with the 3.23's, they weren't in the car when I got it used. Had 3.73's and they were nice for the track but i broke them on the street so I needed a rear fast since this is also my DD so I picked up a ls1 6speed rear and been rolling it ever since. Been a best 60' of 1.53 with the same kind of tires and same suspension set up.
