Allmost Took 1sec OFF!

Hey guys I made a thread a few months back about my 2002 Trans am vert not running like other LS1's. I absolutely hated when I found out it runs 9.4 through the 1/8th.

After talking to all you fine folks, I ditched the 2:75s and put in 3:42s
That alone put a **** eatin grin on my face. After that I got a tune on the Auto transmission and ECU.

Old E/t___________New E/t

60ft____2.4____________2.147
330ft___N/a___________5.709
1/8th___9.4____________8.6230
mph____79.3___________84.13

While I was at the track I beat quite a few cars even a couple C5 vettes( glad I have an auto) and handed a 350z his ***.

Just wondered what you guys think about the times. I'm looking to get LTs and have the slp lid coming monday.

That's a nice improvement! Congrats!

A set of Nitto 555R tires in the rear (or dedicated drag radials, maybe Mickey Thompson ET Streets) will knock quite a bit more off your 60' time.

Just FYI... it's 2.73:1 and 3.42:1, not 2:73 and 3:42. It's a little pet peeve of mine.

Very nice improvement. Now after the LTs and lid, do as JakeRobb mentioned and get a set of MT street radials. Put them on a spare set of wheels if you can't drive on them all the time. Then save up for a quality converter with a stall in the 3200 to 3600 range. You'll definately be then.
