Back from the track

Showed up with my regular street tires, traction was really bad, best I could muster up was 12.86 @118.6 mph, that's with a 2.40 60 foot.

Street tires + blower + track = bad 60. Get some drag radials and try again, and you'll smear that time. All you really do with street tires and that much power is grease up the track for everybody else.

Re: Back from the track

haha sounds like my old WS6. everybody was always hating, but that's why it's a street car. I was running 12.5 at 117 with a 2.0 60'. had Nitto DR's too. 224/224 cam on a 125 shot. You are probably beating most 11 second cars lol. Get some sticky tires and work on that 60'.

The rough estimate is every tenth you take off your 60' equates to about two tenths in the e/t. So a decent guess would be putting you at a 12.0 if you could pull a 2.0 60' (which is very easy to do with DR's and a stick car). Getting it to 1.8 and 1.7 gets a little tricky, especially if your on a stock 10 bolt Your trap speed is about where a mid 11 second car would be. Have fun racing!
