Autofab coilover rear shocks

I just seen in the new hot rod book that auto fab has adjustable coilover kits that are a direct bolt on for 93 to present f-bodys. Anyone have any info on this product.. anyone have any thought on how these will work? Anyone have any insights, or concerns on this product? I am contemplateing buying a set of these but they are brand new and i don't know what to expect... So lets get some responce.. thanks

Try e-mailing them. I haven't heard anything about them, other than what's been in the rags.

Call Autofab at 410-796-8777 and ask for Josh, he was very helpful, he'll even help you out figuring out the spring rate. As soon as I have the car weighed this weekend I'm ordering a set. Buy the time you buy the QA1 coilovers and springs their prices are not much more, and you get the brackets to make them bolt right in.

if you plan on racing f body specific events keep in mind, i don't think they are normally allowed. i am of course referencing the LS1 Tech drag race series. but you can't go wrong by the sounds of it.

Well, I've never actually read anything about coil-overs not being allowed.

I would've thought something about coil-overs, 4-links, stock-style suspension, etc would've been included, especially with all the fuss over Madman and ARE's cars a year or two ago.

..and rear springs don't actually "mount" anywhere. take the shocks off, jack up the car and the springs fall out.. interpretation baby!

I have a feeling there will be a lot of "interprementation" this year.

my train of thought was actually along the lines of "stock" location. unfortunately our cars never came with coil overs.....damnit!

They're tested on an LS1 car in Car Craft.
