hate to be the party pooped here, but an le3 setup will the break an lt4 timing chain clear and clean. no chance at all of it living for any length of time. with that kind of power, you will need to run a cloyes double roller and electric water pump. you wont want to do this twice.

How many LT1 motors you see with 450+ using stock castings? All motor anyway...? Daily driver?
I know of one . . . in my driveway

That setup is not gonna make 120mph, unless it has serious weight reduction. Monoblade, electric WP, and a solid roller and it would be no problem ~120-122mph.

A little over 520 on the engine dyno with locally-ported LT1 heads, LT1 intake manifold, and a conservative hydraulic roller, which is probably why it ran circles around most cars on the street and blew the tires apart at 60 mph @ 3870 lbs. That was over 3 years ago. Alot has changed since then. The same setup would make around 550hp if AI ported the heads.

I'd rather the potential of my stock-cubed LS1, honestly.

Why do you say this? Everyone from CMS says otherwise... I think LE even said it'll hold, not sure if I asked him though? But I called CMS up and made that switch anyway, its freakin cheaper too!! I can get a brand new water pump/stronger timing set for less then JUST THE LT4 Timing Set!! haha

Anyway, so now that I have the power adder of the Electric Water Pump... haha

What are the et/trap guestimates of a 383 LE3 setup in a full trimmed out 6 Speed 96 WS6?

Add on to the list... BBK 58mm TB and Fully Ported Intake by Lloyd (Along with LE3 heads/cam). Anyone want to take a shot now? :-)

Somebody better tell Joe this. He's been running low 9s with a stock LT1 timing chain for a while now with around 600rwhp.

Trying to nail a 120mph trap in the 1/4 on DR's... maybe a 11.8 or so.

Oh yea... also hoping for 415rwhp/400rwtq
Need the 58mm TB. I would have much higher expectations.

And also the guys from cms... they told the LT4 would have absolutely no problems either...

I did get the 58mm tb. Just got it, and Lloyd is now fully porting out the intake. So only thing i'm missing are the 4:10's and 12 bolt.

Re: Anyone think this trap/et is possible?

biggest problem with big power and an lt4 chain is the water pump drive gear. a lot of people have problems eating up that drive gear. i don't see how its possible to run a stock timing chain on a 9 second car, but whatever i guess
