It may sound slow but , just basically upgrading a cruiser car for a bit more power.
Here,s the pkge. 86 trans am. No optoins , t roofs , centre lines . dunlops. Auburn posi 3.70h,s Richmond gears. Lowered a bit eibach struts an springs .700r4 with corvette converter and guts . 50 dollar used 305 , HEY, it passes e testing . Factory y pipe and cat 2 1/4 inch exhaust with magna flow muffler . ( too quiet).
I got it down from 18.85,s to 17.04 at strip with a little timing and carb work ( quad).Remember its a 50 dollar used 305.Well actually its a 100 dollar used 305 , but thats including rocker gaskets , oil change and 2 cans of black eng paint.
So who is running 14,s with kinda the same package as this , What have you done motor wise .
I have a gm 350 sbc reman engine I was thinking of vortec heads and a upgraded but nice idle cam. This motor has to idle good. Exhaust will be headers, custom y pipe and 3 inch right thru cat out to 4 inch t pipes.Thanks ..MVDRVNMOFO.

 

Anyone??. I thought it was a simple question. I,m looking for a tried and true engine combo that can go 14,s with a 350 in a 86 t/am, while maintaining a nice smooth traffic liking idle..MVDRVNMOFO.
