You're most welcome. You can run your own rpm vs mph numbers, and do a lot of other things, at this site: * * Automotive Programs by Bowling & Grippo * *

If you're twisting that motor to 6000+ rpm, I would try a 26x10 slick.

Good luck!

Re: Another ''cant hook with m6'' thread

Went with 27x11.50x15 Hoosier quick time pros. First night horrible wheel hop and spun the rim inside the wheel without tube or screws.
Second night added screws, dropped down to 15psi and ran 11.73 @ 117.xx MPH but still spinning a little more than I should. Didnt play with it much after that because it some how still spun the rim inside the driver side tire (With screws).
Gonna try to pull the screws out, add more (had 8) or double check and make sire they actually went into the tire in the first place.
A big improvement, just some more fine tuning is all :-)

Re: Another ''cant hook with m6'' thread

Got the wheels off and screws out. The driver side broke all 8 screws off and twisted the rim half a turn in the tire but didnt harm the tire.
Passenger side all but 2 screws were intact and fine. Gonna try to find some harder/stronger/bigger screws now.

Re: Another ''cant hook with m6'' thread

The fastest slip I could find was this:

Reaction: +.2146
60ft: 1.6628
330ft: 4.8609
ET @ 594ft: 7.0520
1/8 Mile ET: 7.5412
1/8 Mile MPH: 91.98
1000' ET:9.8140
1/4 Mile ET 11.7630
1/4 Mile MPH: 116.41

Couldnt find the 11.73 time slip, but i was showing everyone i was there with so maybe its lost, or maybe I got confused and thought this was it.
I had a couple with better RT's, a few .05xx etc runs but nothing real special.

Ok. That's WAY better than when you started! Pretty decent ET vs MPH package too. Keep at it, experiment with launch rpm and tire pressure, and both your 60 ft and ET will come down. Car will do much better when it cools off too.

You need to find some way to weigh your car. According to this Horsepower calculator You're putting 420hp to the ground if your car weighs 3400lbs, 470hp if it weighs 3800lbs.

You're most likely producing more if you're still spinning tires, hopping, or whatever, but that should be pretty close to the hp your putting on the ground.

Is this car your daily driver, or is it primarily a race car?
How does it idle? maintain temp in traffic? What kind of gas mileage do you get when you're not screaming down the 1320?

Re: Another ''cant hook with m6'' thread

Sorry it took so long to reply! I didnt have it setup to e-mail whenever someone replies back here.

Its mostly a race car. I still street drive it on the weekends in the summertime, and take it to work off and on (1hr drive from home).
I drove it from my home to the track one time a while back and averaged 19-20mpg some how, highway miles.

Idles pretty choppy, gets bad attention from police (they are cracking down on loud exhausts here unless you ride a harley) even with cutouts closed and pretty quiete mufflers. Which is part of the reason I dont drive it much.

Never had it come close to overheating, factory gauge shows close to 200 while sitting in traffic for a few minutes. Havent sat in traffic running for longer than 10 minutes, so I dunno if it would stay cool. Thats with 175degree thermostat and fans set to kick on lower than stock also, cant remember what temp though.

Ive ran a few more times, barely bettering my previous time.
I dont have a slip with me here, but i remember the 60' time was 1.61, my 1/4 was 11:72 again, my mph however is up to 118.89mph.

Gonna run this weekend in West Salem Ohio (dragway42.com) at a 3day race/halloween party. Ill post back if I do any better!

(EDIT--- here is a link to my facebook that has some videos on it from earlier in the summer. Has some high 11's and low 12sec passes. I dont have a digital camera, and my friends that do usually dont upload any of the videos lol) (FACEBOOK VIDEOS CLICK HERE)

Re: Another ''cant hook with m6'' thread

Alot of cars at track this weekend, didnt make many passes. Was COLD first night, couldnt hook, ran 11.90's and a few low 12 passes spinning horribly. Second day a little better, best pas was 11.85 bogging off the start.
All in all, got to 11:79 @ 117mph and 1.69 60' time.
Didnt have much time to mess with anything, kept getting rained out all weekend so we raced whenever we could lol.

Probably done for the season, getting cold, tracks shutting down etc.
Also forgot to air up my tires while loading onto trailer (for ground clearance) and ripped my torque arm mount almost totally off the floor of the car Dunno how that mount can withstand drag racing but bumping the trailer totally destroys it lol
Next job is to find a good welder.
