94 LT1 S-10, A4, hot programming 1/8 times?
Going to be taking my truck to the track as soon as I get a new coupling for my water pump.. hehehe, stupid me.
Just wondering what to expect at the 1/8 mile.
Think the truck is a 89 ext cab S-10, around 3200 lbs, pretty good traction off the line, but dropping second spins the tires for about 5 seconds on the street.
I have sanderson 1 3/4 primary tube shorties, custom y-pipe, catgo hiflo 3in converter, two chamber flowmaster w/ dual 2 1/2 outs, k&n re-0920 stuck to the end of the maf, air foil, egr!, air!, new opti rebuild, stock LT1 fuel pump, 3.73s, 245 50 16 bridgestone potenza re910s, custom Ion Soltan hot programming in ecm.
Not looking for any calculations, just what some of ya stuck guys chip in and throw some times out, I really can't wait to get down there!!
Oh, running synthetic in the crank case and rear as well as summit rear stud girdle on the infamous 10 bolt.

I think I would be looking at getting some drag radials and changing the rear fluid to a conventional oil. Otherwise I have no idea of times but it sounds like an excellent project you have going. It is lighter than a Camaro with just as much power of not mroe due to your mods, but traction I think will be an issue for you. Mid 8's is my best guess, provided you can hook up.

thanks for the reply, preciate the coments.
welp, my skipping wasn't my opti. can't keep coolant and got some moisture coming out the pipes... always something.
think i was having fuel delivery problems when i was taching high, might have popped the head gasket.
why change out from synthetic fluid? Is conventional thicker to provide more shock protection? Anyone having trouble w/ synthetic?
I did a g-tech before i figured out it was the head gasket, with it skipping and sputtering off the line i pulled a 6.88 0-60, and it was running like ****.
Hopefully when i pull the heads it will be apparent what happened. might try to clean up the heads while i have them off and slip in some cut valves and springs under the wife's nose.

With that truck running well and you actually being able to hook I would guess low 8's in the 1/8th at between 85-88 mph. I a m making that guess based on a friend running similar times with his S-10 putting out 320 rwhp.
